Inter-league games played in the Catholic Youth Futsal and Fall River Futsal League for Saturday March 19th are summarized as follows:

The Notre Dame U14 players coached by Carol Oliveira were shut out by Dan McKiernan's Sandwich Jets 5-0. Shane Faherty & John Simkins played great for the Jets showing great ball control and pinpoint passing. Alex Lee, Kaley Bilodeau and Megan Materne all played outstanding despite Notre Dame's loss

The Saint Stanislaus U14 team beat the Holy Name U14 Girls by a score of 4-2. This was once again a hard fought contest which has become a trademark for this Holy Name team who never seem to give up. They play hard game in and game out. They leave every ounce of energy out on that court each and every week and their ball handling and passing skills have improved exponentially. Sean Kinnane had a remarkable game scoring all 4 points for the winning team and his efforts were supported by the outstanding hustle of Max Louis. Emma Santoro and Leah Redmond played exceptionally well for Holy Name.

The St.Michael's U14 played hard against the Joe Martins Fall River Furey and came out on top with a final score of 7-3. Ed Faria's St. Michael squad play was highlighted by Jared Sliva who scored 4 goals, Kyle Pascaol and Kolby Faria who each scored 1 goal against the Furey. Chad Freitas played outstanding as the winning team's goalie. Abbey Richards, Brittany Martins, Casey Brown and Shana Hilario put forth an outstanding team effort despite their loss.

The Holy Name U12 team won convincingly against the Fall River United shutting the United squad out 5-0. Brandon Langton put forth an outstanding defensive effort for the winning team and Mackenzie Long provided solid work as the Holy Name goal keeper. Holy Name's head coach Shawn Murphy explained, "Our team stuck to their game plan for the entire game and did a great job keeping the ball down at the other end of the court." "For our first year at this game, our U12 squad has learned an awful lot and their skills have come a long way", he added.

The Fall River United came up short in their 2nd game of this weekend's double header loosing a heart breaker 4-2. This time it was against the England Select Team coached by Mary Beth Prescott. Both goals for the Fall River United squad were scored by Danielle Gauvin. The England Select team played like a cohesive unit and it was their excellent and unselfish teamwork that carried them through to a victory.

Despite a late game flurry of 3 goals the Ss. Peter & Paul U12 squad lossed to St. Stanislaus U12 by a score of 5-3. With no reserve players on hand the Ss. Peter & Paul played the entire game with great intensity and desire. Scoring for St. Stanislaus were Jordan Farias, Peter Le, Patrick O'Connor, Allison McGrady & Ryan Faria. Matt Faria played outstanding as the St. Stanislaus goal keeper.
