The futsal England Team is once again on their travels and this time rather than tackling the Belgium National Team are plying their trade against the U21 squad.

The double-header friendlies will take place on 30th and 31st of March and will give Graeme Dell’s new charges an excellent fixture to continue cultivating the new methods introduced through the new F30 format. Facing this very good U21 squad seems to be far more in keeping with the exposure that this novice squad should be facing and could well deliver the tonic of some confidence boosting victories.

Those following the England Team will recall the last outing against the Belgian squad, in the Algarve in October last year, resulted in a 3-11 defeat. However, this time Team England bears little resemblance to previous squads as Dell’s F30 starts to take shape. But England must not be complacent as both Ferrian Marco (FK Gilly) and Pauly Julien (FK Gilly) whilst still youngsters represent their nation at international level and were responsible for much damage in the Algarve.

The squad, however, has few changes from the team that recently faced Romania, France and Finland which should prove advantageous to the travelling Brits.

Once again the gifted Marc Canham will be relied upon for his experience. Marc will remember well that one of his first outings into futsal was his participation in the friendly series against Belgium when they visited Bath last May. On that occasion the Three Lions went down 0-7 and 3-10. Things should be little different now and hopes are high of notching up that all important first victory !
