My apologies for the lateness of this weeks newsletter but our ISP has been unable to send messages to hotmail addresses ,thus a lot of people would not have received the newsletter.All is now fixed.

ALL STATE LETTERS NOW SENT OUT

All selection letters for both school and club teams have now been posted.Full lists of teams have been posted to the website.The only teams still to be selected are Central and North Queensland School Teams ( which will be picked in May).If you have any queries re the sides , go first to the website for full selections.

STATE TEAMS ON THE WEBSITE

All the lists of state teams for both school and club will be on the website after 5.00 pm today Friday .A reminder to all school representatives that they must return forms and deposits by 26th April.Club state players must answer by 10th May.

SLIGHT CHANGE TO MAY BRAZIL TOUR

IN a slight change to the May schools tour to Brazil, Mauricio has arranged for the teams to spend two nights and days at the CBF( Brazil Soccer) National Training Camp in Rio .The training camp is one of the most up to date in the world and includes indoor and outdoor facilities, pools,gymnasiums,etc. We are hoping that one of the international squads may be in camp at the same time. The tour going in November will also spend two nights at the camp.

SPECIAL SCHOOL TITLES

The State Special School titles will be held at Acacia Ridge Leisure Centre on Wednesday 24th April.The games begin at 9.00 am and finish at 4.00 pm. Enquiries to Nicola on 07 32199444.

REGIONAL SCHOOL TITLES

A reminder to all schools that the regional school titles are coming up through the month of May.Tournaments are scheduled for Rockhampton(7-8 May),Caloundra(9-10 May),Toowoomba(13-14 May),Roma(20-21 May),Mackay(20-21 May),Emerald(23-24 May),Bundeberg( 27-28 May), Hervey Bay( 30-31 May).North Queensland and Central Queensland teams are selected at these tournaments.Entry forms can be lifted from the website or can be posted out by ringing Nicola on 07 32199444.

PROBLEMS WITH OUR INTERNET PROVIDER

Those of you with hotmail addresses may have noticed that the office has not been answering your emails.For some reason our emails sent to hotmail addresses have been rebounding thus we haven't been able to communicate.Hopefully the problem is now fixed.

QUEENSLAND FUTSAL ON TV

Tune in to Channel 10 on Thursday 25th April at 4.00 pm to the show TOTALLY WILD. Queensland Futsal have put together a quick segment with Channel 10 on futsal and playing it. Thanks to Steve Liddy and his under 13 team from Logan City for assisting with the production.

NATIONAL SOCCER LEAGUE COVERAGE

After my comments last week about the soccer national league being cut, I was contacted to be told that Channel 42 OPTUS will be showing the finals series live. Hopefully Strikers will win 3-0 this week and stay in the final series.

SINGAPORE FIVES TOURNAMENT

Believe Singapore Football may be putting the Singapore 5's Futsal Tournament on in August this year, rather than November. An official announcement will occur soon.


SOCCER STRIPS FOR SALE

Souths United Soccer Club have seven sets of brand new jerseys for sale with 13 shirts in each set.The sizes are for 10 to 13 year olds and are lime green with white trim.Unfortunately the club colours are emerald green so they can't be used.The Souths United logo is on it and all shirts are numbered. The club wants $15 each for the shirts and they can be bought individually or in sets.If anyone is interested in buying , please contact club secretary Beth Bolt on 07 33443806.
