The play off series of the Romanian First Division 2004/2005 reached the second round. We have to remind, first of all, the play off system used in Romania. The first classified at the end of the regular season (the title holder AFC Bodu Bucuresti) started the final stage with 6 points, one more than the regular season runner up, which had 5 points. In this way followed the other 4 teams, with the sixth classified of the regular season (Energoconstructia Craiova) starting with one point. All the bets for the new title are, again, on AFC Bodu Bucuresti, which during the regular season confirmed to be the best Romanian club, even if their fast run towards the title was partially interrupted by Cip Deva in the last play off round.
