TWELVE SCHOOLS TO VIE FOR 5-A-SIDE TITLE (ROSSI JUNIOR CUP)

KUCHING
Twelve secondary schools are expected to take part in the 3rd Sibu Rossi Junior Cup 5-a-side sometime in july. SDFA president, Haji Fadzil Haji Tamam said the event, organised by Sibu Division Football Association (SDFA) in collaboration with Education Department, was first introduced in 1999,the objective of the tournament is to give exposure to students, exspacially those age 16 and below. According to him, the two-day event which is sponsored by LEA Sports Centre will be used to scout for talents who will represent Sibu Division in this year's Piala Datuk Taib and other state level tournaments.
