Ethnikos Asteras maintained their unbeaten streak for the ninth game in a row beating the leader Platon yesterday 7-4. Asteras proved too strong and managed to keep the lead all through the game without feeling threatened at any point. For Platon this was probably the worst performance this year, as they prepare for three straight derby matches that will determine their final position before the play-offs. Asteras had Mavrakis and Priftis scoring twice, while Mostrios lead Platon in scoring with 2 goals. Dias managed despite their numerous absences to hold strong and get a valuable draw at home 4-4 against Athina ’90. Morfesis lead Dias in scoring and was vital as he scored in the final seconds to tie the game. Kosmos overcame Aeas 7-2 and is very likely to avoid relegation as he has distanced himself from the bottom. Iniohos is also one step ahead from the relegating group, as he overcame Gerakas 7-4 and has the upper hand in the battle to stay in the first division. Finally Doukas is on an upstream form as he has managed to climb near the top four and is flirting with the play-off spots. Doukas won Minotavros 7-14 with Lioutas scoring 5 for the guests.
