Brunei For ASEAN Futsal Meet

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Brunei national futsal team will take part in the 3rd Asean Football Federation Futsal Championship 2005 (AFF Futsal Championship) in Thailand from May 27. The other teams taking part are Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.

The tournament is organised and managed by the Asean Football Federation in collaboration with the Football Association of Thailand.

The Brunei team is made up of:

Team coach Hj Md Rosanan Abdullah Samak and assistant coaches Hj Rosaidi bin Hj Kamis and Zaini bin Tumih will be accompanying the team.

Brunei has undergone intensive training to prepare for the meet and have also taken part in several friendly matches with impressive results.

They beat futsal champion of Tsunami Cup, AR United 12-2 recently. Brunei's previous outing in the AFF Futsal Championship was in 2003 in Malaysia, which was won by Thailand.
