Greek Futsal HistoryOnly one round to go in the Hellenic Championship and the heat
has risen dangerously. In the 18th and final day two games are set to
determine which one will enter the play-offs, and which one will be
relegated in the Second Division. Doucas will host Asteras in the battle for a play-off spot, while Minotavros will host Aeas in the fight for survival.
Both games are set to be close as the result will determine the season for each of these 4 teams. In this week's action Asteras beat Iniohos 6-5 in a stressful afternoon for the hosts who needed the win but were nervous in getting it. Doucas on the other hand had an easy task in beating Kosmos 11-2. Lioutas scored five for the winners, while Karasavvas had 3. Athina '90 will finish the regular season at first place after winning already relegated Gerakas 7-3. Mihalis had 4 for the hosts. Platon beat Minotavros away 3-7 and is set to get second place in the regular season. Finally in the surprise of the day Aeas remained alive in the battle to avoid relegation by beating Dias 11-7 at home. Another vital win for the rookies, who aim for a total recall in their season next week.
