New Straits Times OnlineMachado on talent scouting mission THE inaugural Futsal Fever on June 4-5 at the Sports Unlimited PJ will be a unique affair as it will be the first ever local ‘Open’ tournament to be competed on international-sized parquet courts.
Each match will be for 16 minutes and is open to players of all ages.
National futsal coach, Silvio Machado will also be scouting for new talent who will be invited to train with the national futsal squad. Attractive prizes worth up to RM 10,000 will be up for grabs, with the champions receiving RM 2,500 in cash as well as a trophy and medals.
Also, each player from the winning team will receive a one-month membership to the Celebrity Fitness in 1Utama worth RM400 per membership.
The first runners-up will get RM 1,000, medals and each player will receive a two-week membership worth RM250 each.
The second runners-up will get RM500, medals and a two-week membership each while the fourth-placed team will be awarded medals and a two-week membership for every player.
The top three teams will also each receive a 48-bottle carton of Red Bull Energy Drink. Red Bull will also provide sampling for the players and fans. The players will also get to witness a special performance by members of Celebrity Fitness.

Entries, with a fee of RM250 per team, close on June 1.
The first 15 teams to sign up will receive free one-week passes to Celebrity Fitness 1Utama. Teams can register up to 10 players with a maximum of two national players.
