UEFAContenders lining up for drawMonday, 13 June 2005 The 2005/06 UEFA Futsal Cup draw will be held at 11.30CET on 7 July in Nyon, Switzerland.
Two Belgian sidesAction 21 Charleroi are the reigning champions having defeated MFK Dinamo Moskva 10-9 on aggregate in April this year. In 2005/06, the Belgian side will be back to defend their title along with Dinamo, again the top team in Russia, and the rivals they beat to reclaim the Belgian championship, JB MB Morlanwelz.
Spanish waitDespite Charleroi's success last time round, it is expected that Spain will provide the favourites for the 2005/06 edition. The Spanish entrants are not yet known with El Pozo Murcia FS and 2004 winners Boomerang Interviú FS, who both reached the second qualifying round in 2004/05, currently involved in a title play-off.
New stageThe 2005/06 Futsal Cup will again feature a preliminary round, first qualifying round and second qualifying round featuring the leading sides from across Europe. However, unlike previous years where the winners from the two second qualifying round groups progressed to the final, there will now be a semi-final stage for the top two clubs from each of those sections.
