INTERSTATE CHALLENGE SERIES IN AUSTRALIAOver the week end of June 11th through to June 13th, trials were held for the Australian men’s team to travel to Egypt in July for the Pyramids Cup. The games took place at the Dural Sport & Leisure Centre in Sydney.
The Queensland Vikings, NSW Thunder, NSW Lightning and ACT were represented.
The Vikings defeated both NSW teams 6-3 and ACT 4-2 to take out the Challenge series in very impressive style.
Following the Series, the Football Federation of Australia named the team to play in Cairo (tournament currently suspended).
