A great date for female futsal! Today in Londrina will be presented the first ever edition of the Liga Futsal Feminina organized by CBFS. The ceremony will start at 9.00 am in the "Auditório Alcides Bueno" of the UNOPAR (Universidade Norte do Paraná) University

This historical female competition will start on September 16th and will see the participation of 10 teams from six different states of Brazil.

Aécio de Borba Vasconcelos, CBFS President, showed his huge satisfaction for this basic step of female futsal development, remembering that the female version born on the same structure of the successful male version.

CBFS is working hard to introduce national competitions in every single category, starting since the Under 15 one, in which every brazilian state will have the chance to send their representatives. As Aecio De Borba reminded, for the first time will be played, during this season, different superleagues after the regional leagues.

Coming back to the Liga Futsal Feminina, these are the ten teams taking part in the competition:

- Santo Ângelo (RS)
- Aprofucri/Unesc (SC)
- Chimarrão (RS)
- Hidráulica Brasil (GO)
- Kindermann (SC)
- Londrinense (PR)
- Unifor/Nacional Gás (CE)
- Sabesp (SP)
- Popiolski (SC)
- Maringá (PR)

The clubs were splitted into three groups (A, B and C) in the first part of the league, to start on September 16th (2 legs mini leagues for each group), then the 1st and 2nd classified from groups A and C, and the 1st, 2nd and 3rd classified from Group B will enter the second stage. The last place in the second round will be taken by the best team between the 3rd classified from groups A and C and the 4th from group B.

The second round will be composed of four groups (D, E, F and G) with home and away pairings that will qualify four teams for the semifinal stage (same system of the second round). The semifinal winners will play the great final to conquer the first ever Liga Futsal Feminina title, to be decided on December 10th.
