Large "canarinhos"' victory in the first match of the
Futsal Desafio against Ecuador, which was also organized in order to pay tribute to some of the players (
Serginho, Márcio, Sandrinho, Fininho and the 41 years old Vander Iacovino who still plays in the senior competitions with Circulo Militar and was recently appointed as new coach of the
Paulista Federation) who were crowned with the last World Champion title for Brazil in 1996.
Also, before the match were awarded two great players like
Lavoisier (new goalkeeper of
Intelli Penalty after many years of victories with
ACBF) and
Almir for their experience with the national team, though they didn't managed to conquer the world title.
Many changes in the list of selected players: in the first communication by
PC were included also
Manoel Tobias and
Simi who renounced for their tasks in Spain with Polaris Cartagena, as well as
Waguinho (new player of Kairat Almaty in Kazakhstan) and the goalkeeper
Bagè who was playing the Liga Futsal finals with Malwee. These four players were replaced by "only" two substitutes:
Jonas and
Dimas. Few days later also
Indio had to renounce due to an injury and was replaced by the new signing of Intelli/Penalty,
Ronan.
TV Futsal, thanks to the great work of
Marcos Diniz, is showing the highlights of the match, in collaboration with
