On this week-end started the new season of Slovak Futsal, that will be covered by Futsalplanet.com as usual. Before having a look at the first results in the premiere league, that we will post in one of the next news, read our preview on the new season.

- SLOVAK LEAGUE 2005/2006:
Only 12 teams will take part in the league, as 1.SC Incar Nitra (2003/2004 Slovak Cup and League holder) and Banska Bystrica (play-out series winner) didn't accomplish with the federations conditions. Every team will therefore play 22 matches in a 2 leg formula, in the regular season

- PLAY OFF SERIES:
For the first ever time in Slovak Futsal will be used the Play Off series, which will involve the best 8 teams at the end of the regular season. Every team will be in need of winning two matches in order to reach the following round

Futsal Team Nitra is the new name club of Masomax Nitra, which signed many of the former and now disappeared 1 SC Incar Nitra

AC Karpatia Juniors Bratislava is the first division rookie after winning the play off series to reach the premier league.

- SLOVAK CUP 2005/2006: The national cup will be played on a regional base in the beginning. Then, the best 4 teams from four regions will attend the semifinals round, to be played on two leg matches pairings. The final match for the title will be played on a unique game.

- to be played in each region. Regional committee chairmen must confirm the dates.

SECOND ROUND
- to be played in each region. Regional committee chairmen must confirm the dates.
