You're back from two impressive victories over Roma and Prato. Are you satisfied with the current condition of the team?

Definitely, good results can help us in working with more calm and beeing confident in ourselves. Our team is running through the right way and is proving it, even if we're just at the beginning.


How do you feel about your way back in the Italian league? Are you satisfied with your performance or still we have to see the "real" Giustozzi?

I'm happy with that. I immediately had a good impact here, adapting myself to the way of playing of the team, but I believe I have the chance to improve.


Which are the reasons why you have decided to come back in Italy, after a great season (your high standard in the Copa de Espana is just a demonstration of it) dopo una stagione più che positiva (un esempio è la copa de Espana da te giocata a grandi livelli) spent in Santiago de Compostela? All seemed to be ready for your agreement renewal, but at the end you have reached Nepi.

Is something that can happen, I was surprised too about how the situation is changed. I spent a great season in Spain and already renewed my agreement. Unfortunately some external matters determined, on a contractual level, my "last minute" decision to come back here in Italy


Are you happy with this choice? How is the first impact with the new environment, especially with the club president Ceci and the coach Maurizi?

I've decided to come back in Italy also becouse there is a great president, who works in the best way and is a great person, something not easy to find in this "futsal world". I immediately enjoyed Nepi becouse I already knew a lot of my team mates. Also, coach Agenore Maurizi has a mentality really close to the Spanish one, in which I spent my last season. But the main reason why I'm here is due to the presence of the club president Davide Ceci.


Which main differences have you found in the way of working used by the Lobelle's coach Venancio Lopez and your current trainer Maurizi, as well as the differences between spanish and italian clubs in organizing their activity?

On the organizing matter a comparison is not possible. That's just why the spanish clubs are professional since 15 years and can count on this advantage and experience. This doesn't mean that Nepi or other italian clubs are not well organized, but just that the spanish futsal organization is something spectacular. Too hard a comparison between Maurizi and Venancio, every coach has his own school and coaching method.


You were one of the leading characters of the historical results of Argentinian national team in Taiwan, which had never reached a result like this. Do you believe that a better result was possible for Argentina? How will Argentina have the chance to replace the current generation of impressive players like Giustozzi, Sanchez, Planas, Garcias, Guisande, Petillo, Gonzales and so on? Do you think that this group is absolutely stronger than the average of the others argentinian players or is just a matter of experience, considering that you and your team mates can count on the european championships experience?

In Chinese Taipei we played a great world championship and I believe that the final standing is what we deserved. I always think that the final table gives everyone his right position, so that Spain, Italy and Brazil were better than us and deserved to stay ahead. After our generation maybe we will need some time to find the right players to replace us, but I can say that Argentina already has youth impressive players, they just need more experience on an international level.


Do you think your season in Spain can have opened the door to your argentinian colleagues, in order to sign with spanish clubs as well (something that maybe didn't happen some years ago when Leandro Planas played with Cefire Burela), or the most predictable thing is to keep on watching them just in Italy?

This is one of the main reasons why I went to Spain in the past season. Now the argentinian player is considered in another way. Thanks also to the spanish skill, I have proved that the argentinians players can adapt themselves to the spanish futsal league with no problems at all.


Your imminent and future goals with Nepi and the Larranaga's selection

I want to win! I will never stop repeating it, I came to Nepi becouse they won the Italian cup and have reached the league semifinals in the past season, therefore this means that we definitely have the potentiality that can allow us to reach great results. Talking about the Argentinian national team, I wish to play the next qualifying round and maybe the next World Championship.

Siete reduci dal grande successo con la Roma e da quello esterno a Prato. Soddisfatti per il momento della squadra?

Certo, i risultati positivi aiutano a lavorare con maggiore serenità e convinzione. La squadra è sulla strada giusta e lo sta dimostrando, anche se siamo ancora all’inizio.


Come giudichi il tuo ritorno nel campionato italiano? Soddisfatto delle partite giocate finora o dobbiamo ancora vedere il vero Giustozzi?

Si, sono contento. Mi sono trovato subito bene, adattandomi al gioco della squadra, ma posso e devo ancora crescere.


Come mai hai deciso di tornare in Italia dopo una stagione più che positiva (un esempio è la copa de Espana da te giocata a grandi livelli) a Santiago de Compostela? Sembrava tutto pronto per il rinnovo ed invece sei approdato a Nepi.

Sono cose che succedono, perfino io mi sono stupito di come siano andate le cose. Ho vissuto una grande stagione in Spagna ed avevo prolungato il contratto. Purtroppo alcuni fattori esterni al campo di gioco, a livello contrattuale, hanno fatto si che all’ultimo momento decidessi di tornare in Italia.


Felice di aver scelto Nepi? Qual'è stato l'impatto con la nuova realtà, con il presidente Ceci e mister Maurizi?

Sono tornato in Italia perché questa società ha un grande presidente, il quale oltre a fare benissimo il suo lavoro è una grande persona, cosa non facile da trovare in questo mondo. A Nepi mi sono trovato subito a mio agio perché conoscevo molti dei miei compagni di squadra, ed anche perché Agenore Maurizi ha una mentalità molto simile a quella spagnola nella quale ho vissuto l’ultima stagione. Ma se sono tornato qui in Italia è senza dubbio per Davide Ceci.


Che differenze hai trovato nel modo di lavorare di Venancio e Maurizi, ed in generale nell'organizzazione del club spagnolo rispetto a quelli italiani in cui hai militato negli anni passati?

A livello di organizzazione non c’è paragone, non perché a Nepi o Montesilvano non siano organizzati, ma semplicemente per il fatto che in Spagna sono professionisti da qunidici anni, motivo per cui hanno un notevole margine di vantaggio. L’organizzazione del futsal in Spagna è qualcosa di spettacolare. Un paragone tra Maurizi e Venancio è impresa ardua, ogni allenatore ha la sua scuola e la sua maniera di interpretare il futsal.


Sei stato protagonista dello storico risultato dell'Argentina a Taipei, mai arrivata così in alto nella fase finale del mondiale. Si poteva fare di più? Come farà l'Argentina a sostituire, tra qualche anno, la generazione dei vari Giustozzi, Sanchez, Planas, Garcias, Guisande, Petillo, Gonzales ecc? Pensi che il tuo gruppo sia più forte in assoluto di tanti altri giocatori argentini o è l'esperienza dei campionati europei che da sicurezza ed esperienza in campo internazionale?

In Cina abbiamo disputato un grande mondiale, ritengo che il piazzamento finale sia quello giusto. Credo sempre che la classifica finale metta ognuno al posto giusto, quindi se siamo arrivati quarti è perché Spagna, Italia e Brasile sono state più meritevoli di noi. Dopo la nostra generazione passerà forse un po’ di tempo per trovare gli uomini giusti ma l’Argentina ha giovani molto bravi a cui manca solo l’esperienza in campo internazionale.


Pensi che la tua esperienza spagnola possa aver aperto le porte ai giocatori argentini in Spagna (cosa che non forse non avvenne quando Planas giocò con il Cefire Burela) o per il momento continueremo a vederli soltanto in Italia?

Questo è uno dei motivi per cui sono andato a giocare in Spagna, ora il giocatore Argentino è visto con altri occhi. Non tanto per me, ma grazie alla loro bravura, ho dimostrato che gli argentini si possono adattare perfettamente al campionato spagnolo.


I tuoi obiettivi immediati con il Nepi e quelli futuri, con il club e con la selezione di Larranaga

Voglio vincere! Non mi stancherò mai di ripeterlo, sono venuto a Nepi perché è la squadra che ha vinto la coppa Italia ed ha raggiunto le semifinali scudetto l’anno scorso, quindi ci sono potenzialità tali da raggiungere grandi traguardi. Per quanto riguarda la nazionale argentina mi auguro di poter giocare le prossime qualificazioni mondiali e magari il mondiale stesso.
