The Hellenic Championship is stepping up its pace as the games are picking up in intensity and spectacle. The second day was marked by a memorable game between Platon and Dias. Both performed superbly under pressure and left a full capacity crowd in full agony all through the game. The game had a lot of passion, constant changes in the score, and true battles on the field. Platon held on to their lead all through the game but Dias kept coming back. The home team managed to score two late goals in the 38th and 39th minute to secure the 9-7 win and give a dramatic ending to the game everyone is talking about the next day. Mostrios had 3 and Kavadias 2 goals for Platon, while Paraskevas scored 4 times for the guests.

Another superb match was played in Politeia, home of Athina ’90 which overcame Ethnikos Asteras 8-4. Stefanos Michalis scored 5 goals for the winning side which ended their home contests with a solid win, before traveling to Slovenia for the games of the 4th Group of the UEFA Futsal Cup.

In Salamina the newly promoted team showed they will fight hard this year as they tied Minotavros 6-6 in a tough contest. Katsikaros had 3 foals for the guests while Mertiris and Koukis had 2 goals each for the home team.

Iniohos got their first points in the year beating Ermis 9-4 and stepping ahead in the race to avoid relegation. Ermis has started on a negative note and needs to pick up their game in order to avoid trouble. Mantoukas had three goals for the winners and Poulios scored two for the guests.

Finally Olimpiada and Kosmos were tied 4-4 in a game that was marked by the inability of both sides to find the back of the net in several occasions. Both teams are showing though that will be tough opponents for any team.
