Merconorte Cup: Big Day for Falcãoby
André Barros for
www.futsalplanet.comYesterday (Thursday, October 27th) was a big day for the Brazilian star, Falcão. He scored all the four goals of Malwee/Jaraguá in the game against Universidad Central from Venezuela. Besides his four goals, Falcão had shown all his technique and drove the hosts crazy. The game end up 4 x 3 to Malwee and Falcão was considered the MVP for this game. With this result, Malwee keeps the first place of the Group B after winning the first match against Millonarios (Colombian team) by 8 x 1 and Manabi from Equador by 14 x 4 last Tuesday and last Wednesday respectively. With this results Malwee is expected to get its spot in the decision next Saturday. The last game for the first round is today, Friday, October 28th against the La Sonora, the team from Peru.
We are probably looking for a Brazilian decision since Carlos Barbosa (the other Brazilian team) is already qualified to the finals after beating the Deportivo Kansas from Peru by 14 x 1.
