Thailand'a futsal (five-a-side) team take on Kuwait today in their opening match of the Asian Indoor Games at the Thai-Japanese Stadium.
The match will be shown live on Channel 11 at 5 pm.
Kuwait are only other team in Thailand's group following the late withdrawal of Iraq. The opening match will be between Asian futsal champions Iran and China at 1 pm, followed by Uzbekistan against Kyrgyztan at 3 pm.
Thailand's team manager, Adisak Benjasiriwan said he was confident his squad would beat Kuwait. "We have played them many times and never lost. During our last meeting two months ago we won 3-0."
He predicted Thailand would face Iran in the final.
Glaucio de Castro, Thailand coach said he was very pleased with the preparations of the team. "We have a good mixture of youth and experience. I am confident that we will reach the final and win the gold medal."
