Chisinau, November 29
The moldovan futsal league leader
FC Toligma has signed an agreement with the brazilian player
Rafael Rodrigues de Araujo as announced during a press conference held on November 26th in the Infotag press agency.
Club president
Gennady Corpocean said the contract was signed for two years but refused to make public its value. Rafael Rodrigues de Araujo is the first ever brazilian player to find its way into the moldovan national futsal league and the fourth foreign player to defend the colours of Toligma.
Alongside three Ukrainians, Corpocean expressed the hope that the new player will add quality to the team’s performance.
Toligma’s eyes this year are set on both competitions: National Cup and Championship.
Widely regarded as a universal player the Brazilian started his Moldovan career with a game against Sokol Tiraspol.
Rafael Rodrigues de Araujo, born on 16 June 1982 in Pernambuco (Brazil) is married and has a daughter aged four. Apart from his home country, prior to coming to Moldova, he has played in Portugal and Georgia (during the last UEFA Futsal Cup).
