The Malay MailFutsal: FAM mulling league for womenTHE introduction of the Celcom Futsal League in the Football Association of Malaysia yearly calendar seems to have done the trick in getting teams to play the game in accordance with international regulations.
Concerned with the number of tournaments being held with scant respect to the regulations, FAM decided to organise their own league.
And buoyed by its success, FAM are now considering a National Women’s Futsal League.
And there is no denying the fairer sex are attracted to the game with many women’s teams being formed all over the country.
“We are now securing sponsors for the women’s futsal league and I hope we can hold the tournament later this year, said FAM secretary-general Datuk Seri Dr Ibrahim Saad.
