CSKA Moscow. Enjoy it!
RUSSIAN SUPERLEAGUEROUND 12THE RED AND BLUE WALLCSKA travel to Chekhov became glorious. It turned into a very important point for the 10 years history of the Red and blue Futsal team. For the first time CSKA won two matches over the legendary Dina within the framework of one round. For the first time CSKA did in at a rival indoor stadium. For the first time CSKA got an advantage in matches against Dina played in one tournament, to be more precise – one Championship. In the season-04/05 there was a draw. Both teams obtained 5 points in matches against each other (3 for one won game and 2 for two draws) but CSKA had a better goal difference. This time CSKA-Dina inner relations turned upside done. The things that should have changed finally really changed…
MATCH 1The 40 minutes battle was tough and dramatic for both sides. Dina was more active in attack, CSKA – in defense. The first part ended with a score 1-0 in favor of the hosts. No doubt, Dina had more goal opportunities and set its hopes on fast attacking combinations. The greatest part of them was broken up by CSKA goalkeeper Oleg Tolstikhin whose state was usually best in the middle of a season. The guests attacked more seldom but dangerously. Some chances were failed because of Roman Putintsev`s saves.
The second part logically brought disappointment to one team and big satisfaction to the other one. The other one was the Red-Army Futsal Club. Having revived after three waves of Dina`s attacks CSKA crossed the central line of the field. Then there was a Dina`s foul and a kick. Serguei Antipov shot. The ball flew through “a wall” and crept into the net. So, the score became equal. But not for long. Just one mistake, just one lost ball, just one Dina`s reply and CSKA had to come after such a strong opponent. Searching for answers to many questions, Alexander Babkin, CSKA head coach, changed certain parts in the team lines. The players changed each other on the pitch rather often. For the last seven minutes after getting the fifth foul contra CSKA had acted attentively. The guys tried to play without mistakes. They managed it but not always. The shadow of double-penalty hung over them.
Suddenly CSKA captain Alexander Antipov scored while running close to Roman Putintsev. A pass and a shot looked as efficient as effective. The spectators that attended at the match in spite of weather (even for Russia it is rather cold) waited for the final of the battle. Both Dina and CSKA deserved three points because played with will and much desire. But CSKA keeper Oleg Tolstikhin kept on making miracles. Dina was unable to score once again. As for the guests they held just one attack combination and that brought them such a necessary victory. Oleg Maltsev saw Serguei Sergueev in the perfect position to make a final and deadly blow. The pass was good. The shot was wonderful. Dina`s legend, Alexander Verizhnikov, as the fifth field player as well as Fukin, Dushkevich, Roman Mares and Abramov tried to save the match. But nothing changed for them on the ground. CSKA heroic victory became a real fact that was impossible to ignore.
Alexander Babkin, CSKA head coach:
"In one of my latest interviews I said that the team tasks for the season were far from being done. That is why we had no choice but to try to win. We had no way back, we could not give up. Dina did the same. By the way, it played at its home arena. No doubt, the hosts relied on a good result. That was their right. As for the playing, Dina was better than us. Especially, it was clearly seen when Dina was leading a score and holding some fast and rather dangerous attacks. That is a miracle that we did not miss goals and really kept themselves from tough troubles. If Dina had led a score with two goals difference, we would not have saved even a draw. At the end of the match my guys showed all their skills and, I would say, mental power. I don`t dispute a question of luck. I really recognize that Fortune followed us all the match. All these factors made a final result, so successful to CSKA." Konstantin Dushkevich vs Kirill Arsh (Photo courtesy: CSKA)

MATCH 2 On Futsal grounds a score 1-0 is an exclusion to the rules. It is rare for this game but typical of soccer. But sometimes it takes place on small pitches. So, on the following day Serguei Sergueev scored the only goal not only for his team but for all the match. By the way, at 15` nobody in the hall could imagine it. People thought everything would just begin.
Dina`s advantage was clear. Foukine, R. Mares, Dushkevich were to crush CSKA defensive line. The guests surrounded their keeper and resist any attack held by the hosts. A temporal task was well done – the Red Army did not miss. A little score advantage was conserved under tough circumstances and with great and unbelievable efforts.
The second part started without any changes. Dina did its best to equal a score and then to lead it. CSKA did not surrender, played as “number two”. The Red and blue guys had a lot of problems in attacks. The combinations were interrupted while they were beginning. Rare attacks ended with a shot on goal. But time melted little by little. And the hall-screen fixed the same: Dina – 0, CSKA – 1. Another Dina`s legend, Arkady Bely, now he is the head coach of his team, had to try the last chance. The veteran of the club, Ilya Samokhin left the pitch. His functions were charged with A. Verizhnikov. Really the five field players bore the only goal episode. And failed it because of CSKA “rock” – O. Tolstikhin. So, the Red Army won again, maybe beyond logical rules and traditions of Futsal. But there is the final score. It cannot be cancelled.
Alexander Babkin, CSKA head coach:
"I will tell the truth: we are lucky because to comment on this match is to discuss of luck. Today all was a matter of luck. I think, Futsal God left Dina. And, of course, our keeper was at his best. He did not play well, he played as wonderfully as it could be… Oleg Tolstikhin took part in the four last Championship matches. He missed nothing in two of them. I recognize Tolstikhin is 80% of the current CSKA. I am also sure, that a victory does not come without luck. Today Fortune was on the red and blue side."Maxim Filippov (#11) vs M.
