The end of the 18th day of the Hellenic Championship found Athina ’90 raising their lead from the top contenders as the team from Kifissia beat Minotavros in a tough battle 4-5. Athina ’90 escaped with a goal from Tsatsas in the 38th minute and sinked Minotavros even lower in the table. Doukas could not stand strong against a passionate Dias team and lost 6-5. Tzoumpa was the star of the game scoring 4 goals for his team. Platon also lost to Asteras 5-2 and has three games without a win. Diamantouros scored twice for Asteras who countered attacked for most of the game and managed to gain the lead for the most part of the game. Salamina secured their position in the first division with a vital 4-3 win against Ermis. Ramfos K. scored three goals to lead the game in scoring. Iniohos beat Olimpiada 4-3 and rose higher in the table while Olimpiada still has to fight for survival in the following games.
Finally Kosmos VP had to work hard to overcome Panelefsiniaki 6-4 and kept their hopes up for a position in the top four play-off spots. The Championship is now reaching its final stages as the teams are making their final efforts to secure the best possible positions in this year’s run. Four rounds before the end of the regular season the race is still on for the top four and the relegating two. Day 19 was played on Wednesday 1/2: we'll soon publish a new report on it.
