Futsal is football with a kick

A NEW style of football is coming to the UK and will be launched at Bisham Abbey today.

Futsal is "huge in South America" according to Bisham Abbey business development manager, Peter Mann.

He said: "This sport will be very big.

"It is already very popular in various parts of the world, and has just been recognised by FIFA and UEFA.

"It is very good for us to get this launch event, which is an international match between a young England team and the experienced Finland.

"It is good for Bisham Abbey to be involved in and we are expecting to get more than 600 people to watch the matches."

Footsal is a miniature version of football played mostly indoors like five-a-side.

There will be cheerleaders and plenty of other entertainment, and it is expected that this will be particularly popular with local kids.

The FA are pushing this sport heavily and many of the FA's top brass will be there to see the launch.

Many of the Brazilian national footballers, including Ronaldo and Roberto Carlos, play Futsal
