In the Hellenic First Division’s Day 20 the results have spiced up this year’s run even more. Athina ’90 won the classic derby against Doukas 5-3 and has secured the first spot in the regular season. Athina ’90 took advantage of the many absences of Doukas and conquered the game with international striker Ilias Mpousmpouras scoring two goals and leading the home team to victory. In the other important game of the day, Minotavros got a salvaging win against relegation rivals Olimpiada 12-2. The guests never challenged the game and are now called upon to save the year in the remaining two games of the season. Filippou led in scoring with 4 goals for the home team. Platon placed themselves in second place with their win against Ermis 9-6. Kavvadias led the home team in scoring once again with three goals. The home team was unlucky to lose international striker Yannis Mostrios with a knee injury that will keep him off the pitch for at least a month. Salamina will remain in the first division next year as they won their most important game of the season against Paneleusiniaki 7-0. Mertiris and Simou scored two goals each to give the home team the easy victory.
Kosmos VP continued their impressive pergormances this year with a very important win against Dias 6-9. The challengers for the fourth place are tailing Asteras and will look to fight for a play-off spot until the end. Sikaras Y. had four goals for the winning side while Paraskevas scored 3 for the home side.
Asteras maintained their lead and their play off position with a hard win against Iniohos 6-5. Mpatsoulis scored two goals for the visitors.
