The Malay MailFutsal/Celcom National League: MPSJ gearing up to maintain lead GHAZ RAMLIFeb 14 SUBANG JAYA MUNICIPAL COUNCIL (MPSJ) are on top of the Celcom National Futsal League circuit despite losing to AOB Teras Selatan in the finals of the second leg which was held at the Sukpa Hall in Kuantan last Sunday.
Team manger Radzi Arshad is taking matters seriously as the tournament has two more circuits.
"We may be leading now but the Alor Star Municipal Council (MBSA) are just two points behind us and I am not satisfied with a two-point lead," said Radzi.
"We are pleased with our team’s performance in this tournament compared to the first leg which was held in Johor Baru last month.
"Although we also lost in this final, the team played much better, but a few injuries may have been the cause of this defeat," said Radzi.
Last Sunday, MPSJ lost to AOB Teras Selatan 4-2 in the finals.
Meanwhile, MBSA took the third spot after beating Penang FA 6-5 in the third place match.
The next tournament will be held in Penang next month.
"We will now be concentrating on our fitness to maintain our top position," said Radzi.
