di-ve.comNet Stars against Malta's top Futsal Players Tuesday, 21 February, 2006Since the beginning of Net Stars on TV, Futsal has gained a lot of popularity amongst sports lovers, particularly football fans. This year the number of Futsal teams participating in the official MFA competition increased and the association had to refuse other applications by new teams.
Last Saturday night the production team of Net Stars organised a friendly match between the reality show squad and a team composed by Malta's top Futsal players and hence playing the Maltese Futsal top division league.
The team was guided by John Mizzi and Carmel Busuttil was the captain. Net Stars had their top scorer missing, but for the first time this season former international player, Michael Degiorgio was playing Futsal after a one year suspension from any MFA competition match. This match wasn't an official MFA match.
During tonight's show, Net Stars will highlight what happened in this encounter. Next week the programme will also screen an interesting feature of another activity organised by Net Stars with the support of the Hiberians team. All players playing in this match dined together in a friendly atmosphere.
Today's programme will also give prominence to an intensive session held at the Razzet Tal-Hbiberija Gym. Moreover Net Stars will also discuss Sta. Lucia's league match against Luqa St. Andrew's. The team is aiming to climb another league position following Rabat's defeat against Kalkara FC.
There will also be the regular feature of Net Stars weekend camping. Today we will watch the players going horse riding in Bidnija. Additionally there will also be the weekly Busu Football School feature.
Net Stars is produced and presented by Christian Micallef, edited by Jeremy Dalli and directed by Warren Brimmer. For further information log on the programme's web site www.netstars.tv.
