Dinamo Moscow vs
CSKA Moscow. Enjoy it!
THREE POINTS FOR EACH OTHERAfter winning the first match and losing the second at round 14, CSKA is keeping the sixth position in the table. Matches against Dinamo, Russian current Champion, didn't bring the Red-Army team six points. But even three ones let CSKA fans keep patience and faith in their favourite players on the eve of main derby matches of the season against Spartak which will be held on February 24 and 25.
MATCH 1CSKA started well. The first attack brought a goal. Serguei Antipov made a vertical pass towards his brother Alexander who immediately scored. So, the score was opened. Then both sides tried to press each other around the keeper zones. Nothing special turned out on the ground. Some combinations ended with a smart shots on goal. Dinamo didn't look better or more motivated than CSKA. At last CSKA defender Oleg Maltsev saw Marat Azizov in “a free position”. Marat stood near Dinamo keeper Pavel Stepanov who was unable to save his team when Azizov received a ball turned around and slightly shot. So, CSKA score advantage became equal to two goals.
The first minutes of the second part were very interesting and emotional. Both teams played very aggressively with the only task to complete as soon as possible – to score. At first Serguei Sergueev shot on post, then Georgy Somkhishvili ran the whole ground and gave a pass to Denis Kalinin whose shot was not so dangerous as CSKA fans wanted. As a result, Pelè Junior defended Dinamo goal net and threw a ball far away. At last CSKA assault brought an effect; Serguei Antipov ran with a ball to the Dinamo keeper area and left Stepanov no chances “for salvation”.
Then both sides scored. Kudlai “hit the target” and then Maltsev gave a pass to Filippov from the right wing line of the pitch. Maxim shot was mortal. So, time melted. Dinamo, scoring once more, was still after CSKA. Three minutes before the final siren Victor Papaev, Dinamo head coach, took a time-out. As everybody waited, five filed players came on to the pitch to save a match. For two minutes and a half they had kept hope to gain a draw until Serguei Antipov shot on an empty net.
Alexander Babkin, CSKA head coach:
- We beat one of the strongest Futsal clubs in Europe. So, I am satisfied as with the final result as with our mode of playing. Our success is just. We deserved it. The team was “fresh” and fast after our training period in Kislovodsk. As you can see, we went to the CSKA training camp to be well prepared for round 14 matches. The trip was useful for us. I thank my players for such a game. I am really sure, they were better on the pitch. They surpassed their opponents in the only right desire – desire to win.Cirilo vs Denis Kalinin (Photo courtesy: CSKA)

MATCH 2The things changed dramatically on the following day. Because of CSKA defenders' mistakes Tatu and Kudlay made “a double”. It is rather curious that the red and blue guys missed each pair of goals for 10-15 seconds. Practically everything became clear before interval. The only CSKA answer was a goal by Filippov who ran an eye to an eye with Popov was just a sole wonderful episode. Nothing else…
In the second part the game again became equal. Dinamo played very attentively in the defensive line. CSKA had some opportunities to change the score to the better but they were not enough to win. So, the result became victorious to Dinamo and nobody doubted that was right.
Alexander Babkin, CSKA head coach:
- We have got two injured persons – Kirill Arsh and Vladimir Kolesnikov. Besides, three more guys had to play after special medical aid. So, I can say they were half-injured. Dinamo was angry with us for yesterday’s failure. We made some awful mistakes in the first part. To be honest, the result was done or was practically obvious before 10 minutes interval. The only thing that satisfies me is that the team did not die after four foolish goals. The guys went on playing. We even had several chances to score. But Dinamo acted rather toughly in defense. We could make a hole in that wall but were unable to break it down. So, the victory gained by Dinamo is logical. I congratulate my colleagues with it. Unfortunately, our keeper Oleg Tolstikhin was far from well. The missed goals disappointed him greatly. I saw him loose himself a little. So, I made a decision to change a keeper. Oleg did not ask me for a changing. Andrei Riabov is also a strong goalkeeper. Totally, I am satisfied with two days result. If before the round someone had informed me of three points taken in the matches against Dinamo, I would have been happy. So, we will go on working.
