AFCShensa FC rout Malaysia 10-0 8 March 2006 TEHRAN: Iranian club Shensa FC routed the Malaysian national team 10-0 on the opening day of the Trial Asian Futsal Club Championship here on Tuesday. In another match, Thailand were held 2-2 by Energobank FC of Kyrgyzstan.
Mahmod Lotfi opened the scoring for the host team in the very first minute and went on to add three more goals while Afshin Kazemi and Gomes Brandao netted a brace each. Jose Machado and Vahid Ebrahimi scored the other two goals for Shensa.
Anucha Munjareren put Thailand ahead in the 10th minute but Jenishbek Mamatov restored parity six minutes later. Nurjan Djetybaev gave Energobank FC the lead in the 24th minute only to see Parasert score the equaliser in the 37th minute.
The tournament, featuring prominent clubs and national teams, will end on March 12. Teams from Asian champions Iran, Malaysia, Japan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Thailand are vying for the honours in the competition.
