Futsal uses a smaller, heavier ball which is designed to develop individual ball skills through an increased number of touches during the game.
Derbyshire Football Association's development officer Jon Woodward visited the school for the schools first Futsal session.
He said: "The game is aimed at being high paced, energetic, fast flowing game, while at the same time allowing players to be at their most creative by protecting those showing attacking flair."
The FA is seeking to develop Futsal in this country as its preferred format of small sided football that develops key football skills and techniques that the FA would wish to see extended in all players. It also provides an opportunity to progress to the FA Futsal cup, UEFA Futsal club cup and represent England in European and world championships.
Aldercar are one of the first schools in Amber Valley to have Futsal.
Assistant principal and schools sports co-ordinator Kathy Hardy, who hopes to get a team together, said: "About 50 children turned up for the first session and they all really enjoyed it."
