Selected players who participated in Philippines Sea Games can be seen in Futsal tournament

Quadripartite trials held for setting up Myanmar Futsal National team

With the aim of taking part in the Futsal Football tournaments to be organized by Asian Football Confederation, and ASEAN Football Federation during the period of 2006, Myanmar Football Federation held a quadripartite trials at Indoor Stadium at Thuwunna at 3pm on 5 and 6 March 2006 for setting up the National Futsal team. The selected footballers who took part in the Philippines Sea Games were permitted to participate in the trials.
The First major's cup futsal tournament was organized at the end of 2005. After the competitions, 30 players were extracted as tentatively selected athletes from the contending futsal teams. Next, those players were combined with 18 selected players of Myanmar Football team that took part in the Philippines Sea Games. A total of 48 players were divided into four teams so as to compete in the trials. In the first Major's Cup Futsal tournament, YCDC team had emerged champion. The ASEAN Futsal tournament will take place in Thailand in the coming April. As part of taking part in the tournament, Myanmar Futsal team is being set up as soon as possible.
