Hong Son may lead national futsal team

VietNamNet – The HCM City Futsal Tournament opened in HCM City on March 25. The event will wrap up on April 2 and the best players will have a chance to join the national team to participate in the Southeast Asia futsal championship.

Nguyen Hong Son, former player of the national football squad, is a candidate for chief coach of the national futsal team.

The HCM City Futsal Tournament attracts 16 teams. After the event concludes, the list of the best players will be made and they will represent Vietnam at the Southeast Asia futsal championships in Thailand in mid-April.

According to the HCM City Football Federation, former player of the national football squad Nguyen Hong Son will be invited to work as the chief coach of the team when it is established.

In the opening match on March 25, the team of the HCM City Police defeated the team of District 11 5-2.
