Hibs confirmed as Malta's Futsal Champions

Hibernians F.C. have been crowned Malta's Futsal (the indoor version of football) champions for the second consecutive season after beating Serbia 8 - 6 in the final match that was played on Thursday evening.

In an uptight match, during which three players where sent off (2 for Hibs and 1 for Serbia), Hibs succeeded in maintaing a two goal lead over their opponents until the final whistle to win the match and clinch the title.

This match, which was played in front of a sizeable crowd, was refereed by Mr. Gjergji Bitri and Mr. Alexander Arena.

Meanwhile, the overall winner of the 2nd Division will be decided next Tuesday 18th April between Scandals Bar and Net Stars, winners of the Second Division Sections A and B respectively. This final match will be played at the Corradino Pavilion at 20:15hrs.
