Athina ’90 has claimed its 5th title in the Hellenic Championship with a thrilling win 4-5 at Platon on April 10. The game was incredible, especially in the second half when both teams went head to head and scored 7 goals.
Athina was the first to score in the first half with its leading scorer Stefanos Michalis, only to see Silignakis tying it again a minute later, off a saved penalty kick to seal off a nervous first half.
Second half though was a different game with Platon taking a lead 2-1 and then 4-2 with Panagiotis Kavvadias scoring two brilliant goals with 10 minutes to go. As Platon was getting ready to celebrate though, Athina proved too tall to fall and managed to overturn the game 4-5 with goals from Arvanitis, Mpousmpouras, and Mpismpikis.

Athina ’90 can already start to celebrate even though there are two games left in the play-offs as they can not lose this even if they wanted to. The game was televised and many attended to watch the two top teams perform their best in the most exciting game this year.
