Athina ’90 are one game away from an absolute triumph in the play-offs as they have won their 5th straight match. Athina beat Asteras 9-3 and Platon beat Doukas 4-9, to secure the championship and 2nd place respectively with one game left in the season. The play-offs have proven to be an easy task for the 5-time champions as they have won all their games and will post a record 6 wins if they manage to cap it off in two weeks against Doukas at home. For Platon this is the second year they are runners-up, they have managed to come ever so close to winning it but it seems the team was missing Dimitri Nicolaou a little too much. The season ends on May 8 with the last round. Gerakas and Aias will be the two teams who will advance to the first division next year as they have managed to gain the top two spots in the second division. Both were relegated last year and will look to achieve something better in next year’s championship.
