Turkmenistan to play in Asian Futsal Championship finals

The national team of Turkmenistan has qualified for the finals of the Asian Futsal Championship to be held in Tashkent on May 21-27.

As the Ashgabat correspondent of Turkmenistan.ru reports, Turkmenistan futsal team successfully performed in the qualification tournament in Malaysia against Maldives (8:0), Cambodia (6:2) and Vietnam (2:0).

Tashkent hosted a draw ceremony in the end of last week that defined pairs in qualification groups of the Asian championship finals. According to the draw, Turkmenistan national team headed by Eldar Ramazanov and Victor Kurochkin will play against Iran, Thailand and Indonesia in Group D.

The composition of other groups is as follows:

Group A - Uzbekistan, China, Chinese Taipei and Malaysia;

Group B - Japan, Tajikistan, Iraq and Hong Kong;

Group C - Kyrgyz Republic, Kuwait, Lebanon and Australia.
