After 7 national titles and two supercup victories, time has come for the first triumph in the Portuguese Cup for Sporting Clube de Portugal. The 2005/2006 edition went to the Paulo Fernandes' guys after an hard (definitely more than expected) semifinal against an outstanding Piedense and the eagerly awaited final vs the Benfica's cousins. Thanks to the decisive performances showed by Deo, the eternal Zezito (hat trick for the portuguese legend!) and the "usual" Paulinho Sporting finally reached the first triumph in this competition. Now, the current leader (already sure to win the regular season) of the portuguese league will try to obtain the "double" by conquering also the 8th championship title.
