In a press conference on May.5th, Turkish Football Association's Resurch and Development department Coordinator Mr. G.T. ONAY has announced that Turkish F.A. will commit itself creating a Futsal National Team.

He said that in Europe Futsal is growing steadily and there are already major laegues in many countries. In addition the influence of European and World championships can not be ignored.

Therefore, Turkish F.A. has started a programm to develop Futsal, and they informed UEFA of their interest to participate in the next European Championship . He said he is hopefull that UEFA will confirm their application before the draw of the European Championship which will take place in August.29-30
