The AFC.comJapan again lose to Brazil in futsal friendly6 May 2006 TOKYO: The Japan futsal team lost to Brazil 3-0 in their second friendly match played here on Friday. The visitors won 6-1 in the first match played in Osaka recently.
Japan are preparing for the AFC Futsal Championship in Tashkent from May 21-27 and coach Brazilian Sapo was not happy with his men’s performance. “We played well in the first half but we made too many mistakes in the second period,” said Sapo after the game.
Japan fell behind in the 11th minute when Falcao scored and Brazil went into the breather with the advantage. After the restart, Valdin (29”) and Ari (34th) clinched the issue for the visitors.
”With Brazil it is never easy and we tried our best,” said Sapo. “For the AFC Futsal Championship we will have to improve our finishing.”
Player Kenta Fuji said: “In the previous AFC Futsal Championships we played match-to-match without a goal. But now we aim to be the champions.”
Japan lost to Iran in the final last year and open their campaign in this edition against Hong Kong on May 21.
