Uzbekistan beat Kuwait in futsal friendly

The Uzbekistan national futsal team beat Kuwait 5-0 in a friendly warm-up recently before the AFC Futsal Championship, starting here on May 21.

The Uzbek goals were scored by Umid Kholmatov (two), Abdulla Buriev, Khurshid Tadjiev and Farruh Zakirov.

Uzbekistan will field their reserves in another friendly on Thursday at the Yunusabad Sports Complex.

Uzbekistan, who made it to the semifinals last year, are in group A alongside China, Chinese Taipei and Malaysia while Kuwait are in group C with Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon and Australia.
