AFC Futsal Championship referees clear fitness test

TASHKENT: Twelve referees, who will officiate in the eighth edition of the AFC Futsal Championship, were put through a rigorous fitness test at the Track and Field Indoor Stadium here under the supervision of AFC Referees Assessor Yasuhiro Matsuzaki of Japan and Australian Adrian Tamplin on Friday.

"All the referees cleared the test with flying colours," Matsuzaki told www.the-afc.com.

"The referees are in a good physical condition,” added Tamplin. "We also worked on preparing the referees mentally for the game. And also gave them a brief on the application of the laws of the game."

The officials then participated in a tournament preparatory seminar at the Tashkent Intercontinental Hotel.
