Kenji Tamaki (Salapassion)The first ever professional futsal club is born in Japan!
Taiyo-yakuhin/BANFF was presented through a press conference given to the national media on May 17th. About 200 journalists between local newspapers and televisions took part in the event.
The club General Manager,
Yoshihito Sakurai, told:
"I have hoped to see a professional team born many years before. This is anyway a good moment, together with the creation of the first ever National League. We would like to be reminded as first national league champions and our aim is to be the most important club in Asia in future". Club head coach
Oscar Mazikina added:
"I feel honoured to be appointed as coach of the first Japanese professional team. We must obtain good results as impulse for new professional club to be founded".
The annual budget of
Taiyo-yakuhin/BANFF is evaluated on 0.8 million US$, provided by the
Taiyo-yakuhin medicinal company.
The club management is looking for a free-space to build a new facility with about 2,500 persons capacity, which should take place in the Nagoya area.
