AFC bans Iran Futsal Team Manager from AFC Futsal Championship for offensive behaviour

KUALA LUMPUR: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has banned Iran Futsal Team Manager, Sadegh Deroudgar, from attending the ongoing AFC Futsal Championship in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

AFC were forced to invoke Art.34.D and suspend Deroudgar following his display of offensive behaviour against the second referee during the Iran-Indonesia match at the Yunusabad Sports Complex on May 22. This resulted in his sending-off in the 25th minute.

Deroudgar, who is the AFC Futsal Committee Deputy Chairman will also be suspended from attending the AFC Futsal Committee meeting scheduled for May 26 in Tashkent. He will remain suspended until a final decision is taken by the AFC Disciplinary Committee.
