The new and independent
Serbian Nation is something already existing in futsal. Though not in an official match, the Serbian National team made its debut in a friendly match played in the Jezero hall in Kragujavac, against a journalists selection.
The Serbian selection, in this case, was chosen by the magazines more involved in futsal in Serbia,
Sport,
Sportski Zurnal and the TV channel
SOS kanal.
The event was organised by the Premiere Futsal League Group with the club KMF Ekonomac from Kragujevac, ideated by
Veroljub Dugalic.
The Journalists selection was made stronger by the presence of the soccer star
Nenad Kovacevic, captain of the Red Star Belgrade.
Vidan Bojovic was awarded as MVP of the match, while
Slavko Dordevic was named as best player in the journalists squad.
