The duel was vary obstinate. The Brazilian team attacked more often but the Russian goalkeeper did his job extremely well. Finally the Russian team managed to score four goals. The Brazilian team scored only one goal. The support of the spectators was amazing. The whole Arena Hall was filled with the cheers.
03.09.2006 No surprise!Great emotions, cheering form the tribunes, many goals – that’s what we can say about the match between Ukraine and Poland for the third place. The Polish team started playing bravely but they did not manage to defend their goal. After the first half the Ukrainian team led 4:0. After the break the situation on the pitch looked similarly. The “red-white’ team played ambitiously and they finally scored their first goal. The result of the match – 4:1 for Ukraine.
Said after the match: Lischenko (the coach of the Ukrainian team): “We are vary happy that we won. That’s a great success for our team. We congratulate the Polish team. We wish them further success.”
Aftanski (the coach of the Polish team) “We congratulate Ukraine and other teams. I would like to thank Polish players for their effort.”
03.09.2006 Fluctuating emotionsIn the first meeting of last day of the 10th World University Futsal Championship, which last from Monday in the capital of Wielkopolska, the team of Chinese Taipei defeated China 6:5 (4:3).
It was another obstinate and equalized show where the situation was changing rapidly. Surprisingly representatives of Chinese Taipei took the lead, but the joy of wining did not last long. A minute later China scored a tying goal. Players of Chinese Taipei teased rivals’ goal, each time creating a more and more dangerous situations.
But only 3 balls found their way past the China goalkeeper’s hands. And so Chinese Taipei was leading 4:1.
It seemed that barely anything is going to change. But it was a deceiving impression, because the old sport maxim that occasions wasted by one team make good occasions for the other came true. In the final minutes of the first half players of Chinese Taipei lacked strength. Representation of China quickly took advantage of this temporary weakness diminishing lost to one goal. The first half finished with 4:3 for Chinese Taipei.
The second half again was better for Chinese players, who managed to score an tying goal. Both teams were playing goal for a goal. In last moments of the game Chinese Taipei saved more strength and after the action, resulting in taking the penalty kick, scored a goal. This goal turned out to be deciding, since rivals did not manage to rise from ashes. Finally Chinese Taipei won 6:5
03.09.2006Slovakian suffering In another match in the last day of the 10th World University Futsal Championship, which has been taking place for a week in Poznań, representation of Slovakia won with Kazakhstan 9:7 (6:4).
The duel went excellent for Slovakia, whose players without mercy took advantage of each and every mistake made by Kazakhstan, at times leading 6:0. When in the 26th min. the representation of Slovakia was leading 6:2 everything looked as if they were going to achieve an easy victory. However Kazakhstan did not give up and took the goalkeeper of the field. The interesting battle for the final victory lasted to the very the end. It is worth adding that this match was rich with goals and penalty kicks. Both team performed 5 penalty kicks. (3 of which ended with a goal). Kazakhstan decimated by a numerous amount of injuries and bans entered the pitch in a 7 person squad. In addition during this match 2 more representatives received a red card – for preventing the goal with a hand by a field player. That is why Kazakhstan finished this match with only 5 players.
03.09.2006Serbian trauma In another competition of the last day of X World University Futsal Championship 2006 taking place in the capital of Wielkopolska since Monday, Serbia & Montenegro won with Slovenia 4:1 after the penalty kicks.
This match, as many before, was very exciting. None of the teams managed to get the advantage, which would allow it to take over the control of the game. The most frequent result visible on the score board was the tie. This state remained unchanged till the very end of the match. Once again the penalty kicks, being an obvious lottery, decided about the winery. Players of the Serbia & Montenegro have managed to deal better with the stress and the hard level of the game, and won the match 4:1. Meanwhile, in Krzesiny, Croatia unexpectedly lost, with Kyrgyzstan 1:5.
03.09.2006 The Portuguese thriller… In the next match of the last day of the 10th World University Futsal Championship 2006 which take place in the capitol of Wielkopolska region from Monday
In games played to achieve further positions in the competition, Czech Republic won with Portugal with the score 3:2 in the 1st half of the match. At the beginning of the game both teams were playing carefully as if they want to check the condition of the opponents. Then the Portuguese team started to attack and play more offensively and was often present near the opponents … .
