The XVII Supercopa de España, first ever official spanish competition with FIFA laws of the game, saw a disappointing ending for local fans in Castellon de la Plana, as their heroes of Playas were defeated by Lobelle de Santiago thanks to a deciding break of the Pulpis' team during the second half. For the Adolfo Ruiz Diaz blancoazul's team there were no chances to obtain a draw before the 40th minute, though the impressive hat trick by Pablo.
