Araz outclass Georgian champion in a friendly

The second friendly between Araz (Azerbaijan) and Iberia (Georgia), their countries’ futsal (indoor soccer) champions, was held September 9 at the Baku Sport Complex. Araz opened the score in the first half and scored three more goals conceding two in the second one, and thereby secured a 4-2 win over Iberia. In the first friendly earlier Araz beat Georgians 5-3.

These matches are important as a build-up for the Champions League qualifiers scheduled for October 9 and 15 in Zagreb, in which Araz will clash with champions of Croatia and Greece.
