New and great ambitios for one well known brazilian club. We're talking about the gaucha squad
Cortiana/UCS, currently involved in the estadual league of Rio Grande Do Sul. At the end of the
Liga Futsal 2006 the Farroupilha company
Cortiana decided to leave the club from its city (AFF), in order to join UCS. That determined a kind of revolution in both clubs, starting from the technical guide: Cortiana/UCS will be guided by one of the most appreciated brazilian coaches like
Miltinho is, while the former UCS trainer
Morruga moved to AFF replacing Roberto
Zacouteguy.
With the arrival of
Miltinho (who will be helped by a "futsal institution" like
Serginho, who have decided to stop with "active futsal" at the young age of 46, parabens!) on the UCS bench the clear aim is to reach the brazilian futsal elite in a short time, as the recent signings show.
The new goalie is
Bagè: the former Malwee goalkeeper is already free to play (at least in the estadual league) after the quite short suspension by
CBFS, determined by the shameful scene "admired" during the Intercontinental Cup in Brusque.
The defense will be guaranteed by the former ECB/São Bernardo's fixo
Ricardinho, in collaboration with
Fabio (former Ulbra, Intelli and John Deere, twin brother of the Martorell's Flavio) and the experienced flank/defender
Bella, coming from the paranaense Cascavel, who can count on an impressive career started with the legendary Enxuta and followed by more prestigious signings with Inter/Ulbra (then turned to Ulbra), UCS, Ipiranga, Foz, Carlos Barbosa and Chapecó.
The flanks "sector" is almost completely new:
Esquerda, who could not debut in Italy with Lazio and was playing with Atlantico Erechim and his team mate
Sananduva.
Two more "alas" are back from Italy:
Gil (followed in the summer by Luparense and Sporting Clube de Portugal) left Reggio Calabria, while
Marcelinho played with Lazio and in August signed with AFF/Cortiana before joining UCS.
Also, Miltinho has stolen two players to his former club
V&M Minas: the talented
Hugo (you will surely hear about him) and
Sakai.
Finally, flanks/pivot and pivots are new as well:
Japones changed again club (after Arbat Moscow, Carnicer Torrejon and Ulbra), the former AFF
Bebeto. From Benicarlò (Spain) arrived
Cesar Paulo, who had to end his spanish adventure due to the 25 rounds of suspension determined after the play out series vs UD Boadilla Las Rozas.
