Mune KawamotoNational League confirmed to start on September 2007On September 30th was reached the deadline for japanese clubs interested in sending their application in order to take part in the first ever
Japanese National League. National futsal committe has announced that sixteen clubs asked to be accepted in the league, but only 8 of them filled up all ideal conditions to participate and were therefore accepted.
The official announcement about the participant clubs will be given at the end of November. The 16 demanding clubs names are not known but applications are said to come from the north area, “Hokkaido” to the south area “Okinawa”: all around Japan.
The most predictable chance is the presence of the best clubs from the best regional leagues, especially from the Kanto and Kansai ones, where many national team players are involved as well.
Some of the requested requirements were:
1. Support from the local administration
2. Hall with at least 2,000 seats in the city zone
3. 8 millions Yen as annual fee to take part in the National League
At this stage few clubs were able to guarantee all requirements asked from the Japanese Futsal Committee, especially the one related to the hall attendance. Japanese Futsal is still working, therefore, in order to find more support from sponsors and government.
