The Jakarta PostTeams to contest futsal league JAKARTA: At least 24 teams from universities in Greater Jakarta will compete at the Djarum Super Futsal League 2006 from Nov. 18 to Dec. 1 at the East Jakarta Sports Stadium and Bung Karno's Basketball Hall in Central Jakarta.
"The teams will compete for a total prize money of Rp 28 million (US$3,044) and trophies from Jakarta Deputy Governor Fauzi Bowo and the Indonesian Soccer Association Jakarta chairman Ferry Paulus," head organizer Andi A. Zamzami said in a statement Wednesday.
The competition will be divided into main and first divisions. Each will be split into two groups of six teams playing in a round-robin tournament.
Among the participants are teams from the University of Indonesia (UI), Bogor Institute of Agriculture (IPB), Bina Nusantara University, Atmajaya University and Trisakti University. -- JP
