2006 China Futsal League Division One came to an end on Sept.29 in Shanghai. The six clubs teams joined in Shanghai Zabei Gymnasium to play the last round of tournament for 5 days. Wuhan Dilong club grabbed the champion title while Shanghai Xufang R.L. became the runner-up. Guangzhou was on the 3rd place followed by Beijing Huaya Flying eagle. The two university teams brought up the rear with Chengdu UESTC on the fifth place and the Dalian Northeast University on the last spot.

The 2006 China Futsal League, which lasted for six months, proved to be successful in terms of TV coverage in the 6 rounds in 6 cities. There were 6 games aired live and delay on the national TV to the whole country and 12 games were broadcasted on the local TV in 6 different cities. It is reported by the figures of the National TV statistic that the viewer rate of the Futsal league is same as that of the Chinese football super league on the national basis.

However, in technical and tactical perspective, the level of Chinese futsal league is relatively low. The tactic generally adopted by the league teams is rather primitive. It has a long way to go to meet the demands of the audiences for much more exciting games. At present, the most of the futsal players are from football reserve teams and from the university students. There is a great demand for far more capable players involved in futsal and for more coaches who are knowledgeable in futsal.

During the Shanghai round tournament, a brazilian young lady, Silva, on behalf of the Paulista Futsal Association came to meet the six futsal teams and the CFA futsal official. She brought a number of T shirts to the Chinese teams and took some photos with the teams. Hence, Chinese futsal teams have become one part of the campaign of Futsal Olympic Dream!
